Proof of Alpha Proof of Alpha is a zkApp that allows cryptocurrency traders to prove their trade performance (as % profit) to others without disclosing their private information, such as the amount of funds traded. The problem in the finance industry is that wealth advisors and investors commonly share information about the performance of their investments or the profitability of their trades to prove credibility or share accomplishments. With the influx of investing influencers on social media, it has become especially common for individuals to share screenshots of their trading brokerage accounts. However, sharing trading history online comes with risks. An investor who shares a trade publicly may reveal the amount of assets they own as well as where their assets are stored, making them a target for malicious attacks. Moreover, sharing trading history also puts the general public at risk, as investor influencers can easily share false information about past trades, misleading people and potentially leading them to make poor financial decisions. The solution offered by Proof of Alpha is a zkApp that allows anyone to prove and verify the trade profit percentage made on an exchange. In the initial version, the zkApp will specifically focus on proving trading profit percentages for trades made on Binance.
